HVLP closed 13,592 client files in 2010, including 7,597 courthouse booth files. This represents more than a 5% increase over 2009. More than 2,250 volunteer attorneys contributed a total of 28,079 hours of their time to interview applicants, give counsel and advice, and when appropriate, provide more extensive legal assistance including ongoing representation and preparation of documents.
