F990_P06_S0B_L12c Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c At the beginning of each summer, the Secretrary of the Board mails to all College Trustees and Officiers a questionnaire asking them to disclose any related party transactions with the College. A total of seven questions are asked. The questionnaire contains a brief description of what a related party transaction is. A memoroandum also accompanies the questionnaire. The memorandum explains the necessity of completing the related party questionnaire, and emphasizes the fact that the College expects a 100% response. In addition, to the questionnaire and memorandum, the trustees and officiers also receive a two page instructional document which explains in simple terms what a conflict of interest is and why full disclosure of a real or perceived conflict of interest is important. This document also includes a number of recommendation on the subject put forth by the Massachusett Attorney General. Once completed, the questionnaires are returned to the Secretary of the Board, who monitors the responses and follows up with those trustees and officers who are tardy in completing and returning their questionnaire. The Compensation Committee uses comparable compensation data which is published annually by the Chronicle of Higher Education. Other Officers and key employees are normally reviewed by the President of the College who makes adjustments in their salaries based on performance facotrs and also based on the Chronicle of Higher Education.
