To implement a stewardship program for the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem through creation of the CREW Trust and the appointment by the South Florida Water Management District of a mission-oriented group of public-spirited officials and citizens as CREW trustees; to advise, counsel and assist the South Florida Water Management District to fulfill its obligation in the operation of the Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed and to perform essential services for the District.
The Trust was organized to coordinate land acquistion, protection and management in Lee and Collier counties.
