An actual or potential conflict of interest occurs when an employee or board members is in a position to influence a decision that may result in a personal gain for that employee or board member, or for a relative as a result of EvanTell's ministry decisions. However, if an employee or board member has any influence on purchase, contracts or leases, it is imperative that they disclose to an officer of EvanTell as soon as possible the existence of any actual or potential conflict of interest so that safeguards can be established to protect all parties. All employees and board members are required to sign a conflict of interest statement on an annual basis. The CFO is responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with the conflict of interest policy for employees.
