The revisions of the governing documents reflect the alignment of the educational purposes of KIPP Texas Future Fund and KIPP Texas, Inc. and is deemed the best use of KIPP Texas Future Fund's assets. In the revised documents, KIPP Texas Inc. is the sole member of KIPP Texas Future Fund with the discretion to appoint or remove all board members. After the abovementioned revisions to the governing documents, KIPP Texas Future Fund submitted Form 8940, Request for Miscellaneous Determination, on August 1, 2023, requesting classification as an IRC Section 509(a)(3), Type I supporting organization. |
