Schedule D, Part III, Line 4While the ultimate purpose of the Museum is to increase the educational scope and opportunity for appreciation of the fine arts by Hamilton's students, it also seeks to enrich campus cultural life in general, as well as contribute to the cultural enrichment of the surrounding community. The collection includes more than 4,000 works of art, with strengths in American prints and works on paper, British art of the 20th century, ancient vases and glass, and Native American and Pre-Columbian art.
Schedule D, Part V, Line 4Endowment funds are used largely for scholarships, professorships and other academic programs of the College including support for the library, research activities, and internship support for students.
Schedule D, Part X, Line 2The College recognizes the effect of income tax positions only if those positions are more likely than not of being sustained. Recognized income tax positions are measured at the largest amount that is greater than 50% likely of being realized. Changes in recognition or measurement are reflected in the period in which the change in judgment occurs. The College believes it has taken no significant uncertain tax positions.

Schedule J, Part I, Line 1aThe College requires that the President, the VP for Academic Affairs and the VP for Student Affairs reside on campus as a condition of their employment; therefore, College owned housing is provided for them. In addition, the College pays for reasonable costs of housekeeping to maintain the president's residence. Business class air travel is allowed for members of senior staff only when the travel is overseas or cross-continental. The cost of travel for a companion is allowed for the president only. Other services provided to the president include payment for membership in one club in Manhattan, such as the Princeton Club or the University Club, for the purpose of meeting with College constituents, sponsoring College events and otherwise conducting College business. Because these benefits are nontaxable, they are not included in the employees' Form W-2. However, they are included in Part II, column D of Schedule J.
Schedule J, Part I, Line 7A contractual bonus is paid to the Chief Investment Officer. A discretionary bonus is paid to the Directors of Investments as determined by the CIO and Chair of the Investment Committee based on their performance.

The questionnaires are reviewed by the Vice President for Administration and Finance and appropriate action is taken if necessary. The statements are maintained electronically on College premises.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15The process for determining compensation for the President and Senior Officers of the College meets the three requirements of the rebuttable presumption provisions under Treas. Reg. 53.4958-6. The Senior Officers of the College include the Vice Presidents of Administration and Finance, Academic Affairs, Admissions and Financial Aid, Communications and development, LITS, Chief Investment Officer, and Chief of Staff and Secretary to the Board of Trustees. An annual review of comparability data from a national survey and a survey of 25 comparable schools, as well as a review of the Form 990 of other organizations is used to inform decisions. The Committee members are independent of management and free of any conflicts that would impair their judgment. Finally, the Executive Compensation Sub-Committee timely and thoroughly documents its decisions regarding compensation.
