Form 990, Part I, Line 1 BRIEF MISSIONlives in the comprehensive, compassionate care we provide to patients and families while aging or seriously ill. SIGNIFICANT MISSION-RELATED ACTIVITY TOOK PLACE IN 2023: In 2023, Agrace served a total of 5,390 individual patients and clients through its Hospice Care, Supportive Care, Age at Home and Adult Day Center programs. Agrace Earns No. 1 Large Employer Award: In February, Agrace earned a 2023 Top Workplaces USA award, issued by Energage. Agrace was named #79 of the top 100 companies in the country among those with an employee base of 500 to 999 workers. Energage results are calculated by comparing the survey's research-based statements, including 15 Culture Drivers that are proven to predict high performance, against industry benchmarks. In March, Agrace was also named the #1 Top Workplace among large companies in Madison by the Wisconsin State Journal. Winners of the Top Workplaces list are chosen solely on feedback from an employee survey. Agrace Earns Palliative/Hospice Heart Failure Certification from the American Heart Association: In November, Agrace earned Palliative/Hospice Heart Failure certification from the American Heart Association, the world's leading nonprofit organization focused on heart and brain health for all. The honor recognizes that Agrace's hospice and supportive care patients who have heart failure are receiving high-quality care, and that our clinicians are following current standards aligned with American Heart Association guidelines. We are one of six organizations nationwide to receive this certification, and the only one in Wisconsin. Care for All Dollars Can Help More Agrace Patients and Clients: A very welcome expansion was approved for Agrace's Care for All charitable care program. In addition to assisting patients who need hospice care or supportive (palliative) care, this program can now help clients pay for the Agrace Adult Day Center and Agrace Age at Home. Care for All is a donor-supported program that helps Agrace patients and clients pay for their care if they can show financial need and have no other options. Dodgeville Office Expands: With more than a decade of experience caring for people in southwest Wisconsin who are in the final months of life, Agrace celebrated the expansion of its Dodgeville office location in May. This office is the home base for staff serving hospice patients in Grant, Iowa Lafayette, Crawford and Richland counties. Agrace Celebrates 45 Years: Agrace has been caring for communities in southern Wisconsin since 1978. In 45 years as a nonprofit health care organization, Agrace has grown and evolved beyond our hospice roots: We help people with life-limiting illnesses feel and cope better, provide in-home support to people who want to stay independent at home as they age, and provide resources like the Adult Day Center to support caregivers and seniors who are living with memory loss or dementia.
