| Schedule F, Part I, Line 2 Procedures for monitoring use of grant funds | Hope Haven (R) LTD is a Rwandan entity wholly owned by Hope Haven Charitable Trust. Funds are transferred to Hope Haven (R) LTD for program expenditures for the charitable activity in Rwanda. All funds are used for the purpose of Hope Haven Charitable Trust expenditures and are controlled by the organization. Prior to awarding a grant, the President (USA), Director of Finance and Accounting (Rwanda), Director of Finance and Development (USA), and contract accountant (USA) review budget-to-actual reports and compare to current bank balances. Furthermore, the Director of Finance and Development reviews detailed Hope Haven (R) LTD financial reports on a monthly basis. Additionally, the President and the Treasurer of Hope Haven Charitable Trust both serve on the board of Hope Haven (R) LTD. Finally, the President, Director of Finance and Development, and contract accountant make site visits at least once per year to verify proper use of grant funds. |
