DescConfluence Health is an integrated healthcare delivery system that serves as the major medical provider for four counties in North Central Washington. With 305 physicians, 158 advanced practice providers, 30 medical specialties, one hospital in two locations, and primary care services, Confluence Health provides high-quality, compassionate, cost-effective care close to home. Staying on the leading edge of healthcare innovation is important, so we invest in technology and resources to provide better care for our patients and to allow our providers to operate at the highest level.Continued on Schedule OOn October 7, 2023, Confluence Health celebrated the grand opening of its new $15 million Moses Lake Radiation Oncology Center. With a size of nearly 7,000 square feet situated on 1.5 acres, the new facility provides a complete offering for cancer care in Grant County and surrounding areas. Patients undergoing radiation therapy often need treatment five days a week for several consecutive weeks. Previously, patients would have to travel for over an hour to Wenatchee or Spokane to receive care. Through this new radiation oncology center, Confluence Health can provide full-spectrum cancer care in Moses Lake and neighboring communities. This center was helped made possible through the generous support of donors and the Confluence Health Foundation, which has provided over $3 Million over the past 4 years. In 2023, Confluence Health was recognized for excellence in Cardiovascular care. Confluence Health was awarded the 2023 Award of Excellence in Cardiovascular Surgery from the Foundation for Health Care Quality with the Cardiac Care Outcomes Assessment Program. The institution has 32 participating sites across the state and supports clinicians and hospitals in delivering patient care. To earn this award, a facility must meet or surpass the state's average markers for at least six out of the total eight key quality indicators in the assessment year. The second award is the Mission: Lifeline NSTEMI Gold achievement award from the American Heart Association. This award recognizes the commitment to offering rapid and high-quality care to patients that experience non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI), which is a specific kind of heart attack that more than 546,000 people experience every year.In 2023, Confluence Health was awarded two awards from LifeCenter Northwest. LifeCenter Northwest works collaboratively with more than 200 hospitals in the region to save lives through organ and tissue donation. Each year, hospitals that meet certain robust criteria are honored for their efforts in the organization's annual report. For the 2023 annual report released this month, Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus, previously called Central Washington Hospital was honored with two such awards. The first award, the Organ Donation Process Excellence Award, previously called the Donation Referral Achievement Award Organ, is granted to hospitals who have a process error rate of 5% or less. Realizing and maintaining a low process error rate is incredibly challenging and requires a strong commitment across hospital services and staff. Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus was one of only 29 hospitals to earn this honor in this organ donation service area. Confluence Health has previously been honored with this award five times before (2017, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022). The second award, the Honoring Donor Decisions Award, is earned by hospitals honoring 100% of registered donation decisions in collaboration with LifeCenter Northwest. Confluence Health Hospital Central Campus was one of only 46 hospitals in the organ donation service area to receive this award this year.Desc

Confluence Health HospitalPart V, Section B, Line 5: The Community Voice survey from the 2019 CHNA was used again in 2022 CHNA. The survey instrument used for this study is based largely on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS), as well as various other public health surveys and customized questions addressing gaps in indicator data relative to health promotion and disease prevention objectives and other recognized health issues. The final survey instrument was developed by Confluence Health and PRC.To solicit input from key informants, those individuals who have a broad interest in the health of the community, an Online Key Informant Survey also was implemented as part of this process. A list of recommended participants was provided by Confluence Health; this list included names and contact information for physicians, public health representatives, other health professionals, social service providers, and a variety of other community leaders. Potential participants were chosen because of their ability to identify primary concerns of the populations with whom they work, as well as of the community overall. Key informants were contacted by email, introducing the purpose of the survey and providing a link to take the survey online; reminder emails were sent as needed to increase participation. The Survey was offered in English and Spanish and was administered by SurveyMonkey. Paper copies were provided at various organizations throughout the Region. The survey captured the opinions of the Health Community, the factors to improve health, the greatest risks to health and the behaviors in the Community that positively impacted or genitively affect Health.
