OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: CCHAP - The Colorado Children's Health Access Program was a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to pediatric care for underserved kids across Colorado. Having felt they achieved their original mission, the organization decided to sunset in 2022 and provided their remaining assets to AAP Colorado. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Resident Scholarships - Through a generous grant, AAP Colorado established the Barbara R. Reed Scholarship fund. Through this program, AAP Colorado members and residents are able to apply for funds to support their participation in trainings focused on pediatric education and child health advocacy. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Other Program Service - Newcomer Families Support (A fundraising effort to support additional needs, such as formula, groceries, etc., of new immigrant families who are patients at Denver Health and/or Children's Hospital Colorado) and Youth Mental Health Day (A collaboration that brings professionals to the state capitol to learn about advocacy and provides an opportunity for them to meet with their elected officials. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Cable Lock Project - A pilot project where free cable locks for firearms are provided, along with materials to pediatric practices to make available for the patients and families whom they serve. |
