| Part IV, Line 2b: | The Cleveland Development Foundation (CDF) acts in the role of fiscal agent for early stage, community-based concepts without a formal corporate structure, whose purpose is consistent with the scope of the CDF. Each early stage concept is provided with a set of formal operating procedures. The CDF does not receive compensation for its duties in connection with any fiscal agent agreements. During 2022, CDF received $3,378.27 from organizations for which CDF acts as fiscal agent. |
| Part X, Line 2: | The Cleveland Development Foundation ("CDF") adopted the accounting standard on accounting for uncertainty in income taxes, which addresses the determination of whether tax benefits claimed or expected to be claimed on a tax return should be recorded in the financial statements. Under this guidance, CDF may recognize the tax benefit from an uncertain tax position only if it is more likely than not that the tax position will be sustained on examination by taxing authorities, based on technical merits of the position. At December 31, 2022 and 2021, management has evaluated the organization's tax positions and has concluded that the organization has taken no uncertain tax positions that require adjustment to the consolidated financial statements to comply with provisions of this guidance. CDF is not subject to tax examinations by tax authorities for the years ending December 31, 2019 and prior. |
