| Part II-B, Line 1i - Other Activities Description | During the second half of 2022 and through the first half of 2023, Cassidy & Associates lobbied on behalf of Art Into Acres in support of S. 683/H.R. 1396, the Berryessa Snow Mountain National Monument Expansion Act. This legislation would expand the current BSNM to include Molok Luyuk, an area steeped in thousands of years of rich history that is culturally significant to numerous Native American tribes. Cassidy & Associates facilitated advocacy with the White House Council on Environmental Quality, Department of the Interior, U.S. Senate, and House of Representatives for a coalition of interests advancing protection for the Molok Luyuk area. Some of this work included federal legislative process advocacy, scheduling meetings with decision-makers for client and advocates, strategy meetings, and direct lobbying on behalf of the client. Cassidy also provided insight to Art Into Acres regarding other land conservation campaigns in other parts of the West including Oregon and Nevada on an ad hoc basis (which would be non-lobbying activity by most definitions). |
