| Desc | The Society provides funding to preserve and conduct annual maintenance of the Memorial. The Society also hosts an annual Presidential dinner as a fundraising event normally. Due to the worldwide pandemic this event was not held in 2021. Aid to the park through the Mount Rushmore Bookstores provides funding for the following projects: Mount Rushmore interpretive ranger intern program school bus parking and transportation scholarships limited in 2021 which allow children from area schools to attend educational opportunities at the Memorial cultural demonstrations junior ranger supplies development of original publications to be sold at the Memorial and providing interpretive program supplies and library acquisitions. Through Bookstore sales a membership program and audio tour outlet funds are raised for the NPS interpretive division to provide education and interpretive programming to the public about Mount Rushmore. | Desc |
