ExplanationThe building grant to the Chamber of Commerce of the USA for historic preservation has an arms length agreement requiring specifically tracking appropriate costs. Formal transfer of funds occurs after a review and approval of costs involved between grantee and grantor to ensure they will be used for Section 501(c)(3) historical preservation purposes. In 2020, the US Chamber Foundation created two grant funds for small businesses in America's most economically distressed communities. These grant funds provide a lifeline for small businesses on the brink of financial catastrophe, with the mission being to prevent community deterioration. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation executes grant agreements for grants made to other 501c3 and 501c6 organizations. Each grant agreement includes a proposal outlining the program and activities the grant funds will be used for. Each agreement stipulates that funds must be spent on c3-appropriate activities and all expenditures must be properly documented. The Foundation supports a small number of charities tied to our purpose, strategic intent, or strategic priorities. These sponsorships focus on the community in which we live and work or are connected to our mission.ExplanationTxt
