THE RESEARCH FOUNDATION WAS AWARDED FUNDING FROM AN EXTERNAL SOURCE FOR THE SCSQC TO IMPROVE SURGICAL QUALITY SAFETY IN THE STATE. THE COLLABORATIVE HAS PARTNERED WITH SURGICAL LEADERS AT HOSPITALS (SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS AND NON-SUPPORTED ORGANIZATIONS) ACROSS THE STATE TO ESTABLISH A CONTINUOUS QUALITY IMPROVEMENT STRUCTURE AND LEARNING HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. EACH PARTICIPATING HOSPITAL RECEIVED FUNDS DURING THE GRANT PERIOD FOR KEY PERSONNEL ALLOCATED TO THE EFFORTS OF THE COLLABORATIVE. THE RESEARCH FOUNDATION WAS AWARDED FUNDING FROM AN EXTERNAL SOURCE FOR THE CAROLINAS COLLABORATIVE FOR THE PURPOSE OF UNITING HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS, UNIVERSITIES AND COMMUNITITES ACROSS NORTH CAROLINA AND SOUTH CAROLINA TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF HEALTHCARE AND ACCELERATE ADVANCES IN RESEARCH.
