| Explanation | The Company is exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as a public charity. However, the Company is subject to income taxes on any unrelated business income that is derived from activities not in furtherance of its exempt purposes. The Company's unrelated business income consists principally of advertising income. The subsidiaries are also exempt from local taxes in their respective countries. The Company recognizes interest and penalties related to unrecognized tax benefits in interest and income tax expense respectively.
