DHA also is licensed to operate three rural health clinics, which provided total visits of 43,119 (Medicare 10,140 and Medicaid 16,663).At no charge, the following exempt organizations use the Hospitals conference room for meetings: Rotary Club, Crime Stoppers, Mayors Liaison Committee, ADAC, Alcoholics Anonymous, Gideons, Family Abuse Support, and cancer survivors.Without charge, various hospital employees were sent to educate the community through high school career days, science and health fairs, job shadowing, AHEC, and speaking at various festivals. | Desc |

| Part X : FIN48 Footnote | NOTE 21 - INCOME TAXESAccounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the Hospital and recognize a tax liability if the organization has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would be sustained upon examination by the Internal Revenue Service. Management has concluded that there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements. The Hospital is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. Hospital management believes it is no longer subject to income tax examinations for periods ending prior to October 1, 2014. |
