The documents were modified to include a list of physicians not covered by the FAP and a process implemented to routinely update the list. Following approval by the hospital's governing body, the updated policy was posted to the MPTF website.Although the FAP and PLS had not previously been publicly posted, the FAP was routinely provided to patients upon request and made widely available to patients through conspicuous display in the hospital admissions area. Patients were, and continue to be further notified about the FAP during communication with the hospital patient business services department regarding outstanding balances.Financial aid was provided to patients pursuant to MPTF's written FAP throughout 2016 and no individuals were adversely affected by the omissions noted above. In addition, MPTF did not engage in any 'extraordinary collection activities' during 2016 or through the date of filing this return. |
