| Desc | Clean Energy Initiative: In November 2013, The Redford Center convened thought leaders across many disciplines to help refine the style and substance of our Clean Energy Innovation Project. Entering this gathering with a desire to help re-frame the moribund public dialogue on climate change solutions, we found a diverse array of stakeholders from Big Business and politicians to clean-tech start-ups and cutting edge marketing firms yearning for a more engaging message to better reflect the current state of affairs in clean energy: a reality that contains better pathways to hope and engagement. Better technologies are finally achieving better economics, resulting in a new energy gold rush that has the potential to blunt the full impact of climate change.Using our established documentary storytelling expertise and leveraging the Redford brand and networks, the Clean Energy Innovation Project is developing an expansive communications platform for this clean power movement. At the center of the effort is our film, HAPPENING. Film production on HAPPENING ramped up in 2016 with numerous film shoots across the US and entered post-production towards the end of 2016. HAPPENING will premier at film festivals in October of 2017 and on HBO in December of 2017. We are planning a robust public engagement and impact campaign to accompany the films release. | Desc |
