| Description Program Srvc Accom | We held Troop Box Packing events at various places and in several different cities, involving the public in donating items, money and labor to prepare care packages that we mailed to our active duty military, primarily those who are deployed but also to some serving stateside. The events served to inform those attending of the services and sacrifices of our troops. The care packages sent raised the level of morale of our troops, and their families by showing them there is a community that cares. We had several informaion booths where we provided promotional items to the general public. We informed the public of our mission. We encouraged the public to write leters and cards for our military personnel. Cards and leters were later included in our care packages. We held a volunteer appreciation bbq for our dedicated volunteers, expressing our thanks for their support of our military. We participated in the Mantec Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet where we received recognition for the service our program provided to the community and to our military. We held a Candle Lighting Event, honoring our fallen military, encouraging the community to attend and speak in honr of fallen loved ones. We provided assistance to family members of fallen military by facititating support groups.
