DescHealth - As the National Resource Center on Domestic Violence (DV) Futures Without Violence has been a leader in healthcare issues related to domestic violence providing education to over 9,300 people through 65 trainings and 38 webinars and disseminated over 1,250,000 patient/provider education tools nationwide and completed new resources for campus health settings to respond to campus sexual assault, new clinical training tools to respond to the overlap of HIV and domestic violence and published a study that demonstrated that school based health interventions can improve health and safety for adolescents. We continued to educate the field about the Affordable Care Act domestic violence screening and response coverage requirements, and the special enrollment for survivors of DV to access health care year-round without being dependent on an abusive partner for health coverage. We are building partnerships between community based domestic and sexual violence programs and health care clinics in 17 communities across California and in seven sites across seven U.S. states; and a research project in three states.Desc

DescPublic Engagement and Corporate Relations - Working with membership organizations, corporations, and other strategic partners that enable wide reach among the public, to create programs and campaigns in an effort to raise awareness and promote solutions for domestic violence, sexual assault, cyberbullying, and child abuse. In 2015, in collaboration with Macy's, the 4th annual RESPECT! Challenge, an online competition to engage young people and their role models in conversations about healthy relationships drew over 4000 online and social media entries from young people promoting respectful, online behavior. Another strategic corporate partnership with Tough Mudder focused on Mudderella, an athletic event series designed by and for women, with the objective of raising awareness and to end and prevent domestic violence and sexual assault. We also worked with professional sports organizations and individual teams to develop strategic educational programming for players, administrative staff, and fans in an effort to promote awareness and involvement in positive solutions to promote healthy relationships as a means to end and prevent domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.Desc
