WE CONTINUED OUR WORK BRINGING AWARENESS TO CONSUMERS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF ORGANIC FOOD, FARMING, AND OTHER ORGANIC PRACTICES.OVAF'S JUST LABEL IT CAMPAIGN HAD MANY ACCOMPLISHMENTS IN 2015. MOST NOTABLY OUR WORK AROUND THE ANTI-GMO AND PRO-GMO LABELING BILLS IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES AND THE SENATE. JLI WORKED WITH LEGISLATORS ON CAPITOL HILL BY CONDUCTING MEETINGS, BRIEFINGS, FLY-INS AND PRESS EVENTS TO BRING AWARENESS TO GMO LABELING HERE IN THE US. THROUGHOUT THE YEAR JLI ALSO RAN A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT AD CAMPAIGNS HERE IN DC AND IN SPECIFIC STATES HIGHLIGHTING THE IMPORTANCE OF GMO LABELING AND GETTING CONSUMERS TO REJECT THE ANTI-GMO LEGISLATION.
