| Desc | Since 2000 DALC has protected nearly 5,800 acres of farms, forests, prairies, and wetlands. During 2014 we added 595 acres to our land and water protection portfolio by acquiring 5 new conservation easements. We also improved public access to our Erickson Conservation Area by creating a new boardwalk, bridge, kiosk, and signage, and began efforts to restore and improve wildlife habitat. We also partnered with local nonprofits, schools, libraries, and our membership to deliver a series of field trips, educational programs, and classroom presentations. In addition, we held a management workshop to provide landowners an opportunity to learn from experts about land conservation. | Desc |
