| SCHEDULE D, PART X | The University has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, except for taxes on income from activities unrelated to its exempt purpose. Accordingly, the University is not subject to income taxes except to the extent it has taxable income from activities that are not related to its exempt purpose. No provisions for income taxes have been made in the accompanying financial statements for 2013. Accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America require management to evaluate tax positions taken by the University and recognize a tax liability (or asset) if the University has taken an uncertain tax position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by the IRS. Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the University, and has concluded that as of June 30, 2013 there are no uncertain positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recongnition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements. |
