AS REQUIRED BY GENERALLY ACCEPTED ACCOUNTING PRINCIPLES IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, NET ASSETS ASSOCIATED WITH ENDOWMENT FUNDS ARE CLASSIFIED AND REPORTED BASED ON THE EXISTENCE OR ABSENCE OF DONOR-IMPOSED RESTRICTIONS. THE INVESTMENT GOAL FOR THE ENDOWMENT FUNDS ARE TO PROVIDE A SECURE AND DEPENDABLE INVESTMENT RETURN FOR APPROPRIATION TO OPERATIONS, PROTECT THE HISTORIC DOLLAR VALUE OF THE FUNDS AND PROVIDE SUFFICIENT LIQUIDITY TO ACCOMMODATE FORSEEABLE APPROPRIATIONS. |
