| Part X | Part X : FIN48 Footnote | The Organization is a non-profit publicly supported organization, as defined in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code (IRC) that is exempt from federal income taxes under Section 501(a) of the IRC. The Organization did not conduct any unrelated business activities that would be subject to federal income taxes and had no uncertain tax positions. Therefore, no tax provisions or liability has been reported in the accompanying financial statements. GAAP requires the evaluation of tax positions taken in the course of preparing the Organizations tax returns and recognition of a tax liability (or asset) if the Organization has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Management has analyzed the tax positions taken by the Organization, and has concluded that as of August 31, 2013, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements. The Organizations Federal Return of Organizations Exempt from Income Tax is subject to examination by the IRS for three years from the date of filing. As a result, the Organization is no longer subject to income tax examinations by the IRS for years prior to fiscal year 2010. |
