| Desc | ALF provides activities for graduates of the Fellows Programs. These periodic activities include continuing education opportunities and community dialogues designed to further the joining and strengthening of Fellows. One ongoing activity is the biennial Convocation on Public Education which generally involves approximately 300 participants including educators, parents, community service providers, board members and others.The Leadership Research Initiative has been undertaken in conjunction with Dr. Jean Latting from University of Houston. They have designed a survey used by ALF Fellows Program participants both before and after their ALF program year so we can measure the impact of the program on both attitudes and self-reported behaviors that the programs are designed to effect. A new Community Development Fellows Program offered in 2013 had some start-up expenses in 2012. | Desc |

These periodic activities include continuing education opportunities and community dialogues designed to further the joining and strengthening of Fellows. One ongoing activity is the biennial Convocation on Public Education which generally involves approximately 300 participants including educators, parents, community service providers, board members and others.The Leadership Research Initiative has been undertaken in conjunction with Dr. Jean Latting from University of Houston. They have designed a survey used by ALF Fellows Program participants both before and after their ALF program year so we can measure the impact of the program on both attitudes and self-reported behaviors that the programs are designed to effect. A new Community Development Fellows Program offered in 2013 had some start-up expenses in 2012. |
