Mission Description	UNION PRINTERS HOME WAS FOUNDED IN 1892 TO MEET THE HEALTH CARE NEEDS OF THE INTERNATIONAL UNION MEMBERS. SINCE THEN WE HAVE OPENED OUR SERVICES TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR THEIR LONG TERM CARE NEEDS. OUR PROGRAMS ARE FOR NURSING HOME AND ASSISTED LIVING SERVICES TO INCLUDE NURSING, ACTIVITIES, SOCIAL SERVICES, DIETARY, REHABILITATION, HOUSEKEEPING, LAUNDRY AND A HOME-LIKE ATMOSPHERE WHERE OUR RESIDENTS ARE GIVEN CHOICES FOR THEIR CARE. WE ARE MEDICARE AND MEDICAID CERTIFIED. WE ALSO CONTRACT WITH THE VA TO CARE FOR VETERANS. WE HAVE OPENED A 'TOWN' WITH A VARIETY OF SHOPS FOR RESIDENTS, FAMILIES AND STAFF AND WE WERE SUCCESSFUL WITH APPLYING FOR PAY FOR PERFORMANCE WHICH TARGETS CULTURE CHANGE ACTIVITIES.
