Of the 100 apartments, 45 are licensed for level A and B assisted living services. The assisted living occupancy was 35 for the year with the license increased mid-year. | Description | Care Team Ministry-Mission-"A neighbor's independence depends on you-no one should feel alone." The program was started January 2003 on funding from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation as a national initiative with the intent that these programs after startup would become self-suffient. Many across the country did not survive because of lack of funding. Ours has survived because it is felt that CTM provides an important service to the community. Funding comes from donations and Immanuel Lutheran Communities. There are no program services revenue generated. The program is a coalition of church and support service agencies collaborating with the healthcare community. Volunteer teams meet short-term, non-medical needs of seniors who desire to remain in their homes, thus enhancing quality of life. Non-medical needs may include: transportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, minor household chores, phone calls, general outings and companionship. Immanuel Lutheran Communities provides supervision, training and support for the congregational teams. The Care Team Ministry program has about 200 volunteers and serve about 200 individuals annually. | Description |
