| Mission Description | WAFF celebrates the vision of a global family by creating and supportING programs that inspire and educate people about mutual respect, understanding, and appreciation of cultural diversity - while striving to solve some of our biggest global problems at the same time.The 2012 Gala that was scheduled for October 29, 2012 was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy. The Gala was subsequently held on January 31, 2013. All event revenues, where the donor was not attending the Gala 2012 was recorded as special event revenue in 2012. Other Gala 2012 income received in 2012 was recorded as deferred revenue ($274,810) on the Statement of Financial Position (SOFP) as of December 31, 2012 and will be recognized in January 2013.Event vendors either issued refunds to the Organization or allowed the transfer of the costs to the Gala held in 2013.
