| Description | Aging Services and Acculturation: Aging Services provides case management and supportive services to Holocaust survivors, individuals living independently, residents of care facilities, and caregivers. Acculturation services provide assistance with immigration requirements, language education, and case management to individuals and families emigrating from the Former Soviet Union. In 2011 - A total of 754 people were assisted by our AGING AND CAREGIVER SERVICES- 568 seniors receive Case Management: Our goal is to provide older adults the opportunity to pursue a life of optimum independence and satisfaction, while living in their desired environment, which is usually their own home. - 169 Holocaust Survivors received case management, (con't on Sch O) Aging Services and Acculturation (con't) home visits, restitution assistance, counseling and referral, social therapeutic activities, free hearing tests, and safety/adaptive equipment. - 166 seniors received Professional Affairs Managment services, Jewish Family Service is one of only two agencies contracted by Council on Aging to provide assistance with banking, bill paying, insurance, obtaining benefits and the like. Several staff members have become notaries to assist clients with services, and 4 are certified by the State of Ohio as Medicare counselors. - 55 residents at our Options Cincinnati program participated in case management, wellness programs, and social events based in two "naturally occurring retirement communities."- 121 new Americans received help from our Russian-speaking specialists to learn English, integrate into their new community, and gain American citizenship. | Description |

| Description | Vital Services and Counseling: Vital Services provides emergency aid to households in need, operates a kosher food pantry, and offers case management services to people with severe mental illness and Family and Individual Conseling offers therapy services on a sliding-fee scale for people in crisis or needing to make changes to improve and strenghten the quality of their lives. In 2011 - A total of 1,056 people received safety net services from our VITAL SERVICES- 291 individuals received emergency intervention to prevent homelessness, hunger, and deprivation. - 282 people were fed by our kosher food pantry. - 429 households avoided eviction through a special HUD program, Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Program.(con't on Sch O) Vital Services and Counseling (con't): Jewish Family Service is one of six area social service agencies selected to provide this service. - 301 people found answers from our Information and Referral service. - 232 families met with case worker and created goals for a case plan to improve their self-sufficiency. - 41 Jewish individuals with severe mental illness received case management to help maintain stability and security. | Description |

| Description | Adoption Connection offers services relative to adoption, including home study assessments and pre-adoption and post-adoption counseling. In 2011 - 434 people were served by ADOPTION CONNECTION- 15 families got their wish to grow their families though our adoption placements. - 51 birth parents were provided free pregnancy counseling and referral services.- 51 home studies, required by law prior to adoption placements, were performed by our professional social worker staff.- 89 families attended free adoption orientation sessions, which are offered monthly.- 65 families received post adoption counseling, (con't on Sch O)Adoption Connection (con't)mediation and supportive services.- 10 step-parent home studies were completed by our certified adoption assessors.- 15 home study updates, required by law every two years, were completed by our professional social worker staff. | Description |

| Description | Family Life Education: Family Life Education offers educational programs covering the entire life cycle from pre-birth through bereavement, offering the community programs to raise awareness about important social issues, and professionally-led classes for children and adults. In 2011 -A total of 1432 people received information or services from FAMILY LIFE EDUCATION.- 186 people attended Family Education programs geared toward improving relationships and family life throughout the life cycle.- 143 people who are homebound or aging, and recuperating individuals in hospitals and continuing care communities enjoyed Jewish celebrations and companionship through Bikur Cholim, the Jewish Visiting Initiative. - 429 youth and 250 adults participated in workshops designed to promote healthy relationships in the Jewish community. - 211 students learned to prevent teen dating violence. Under a contract with the YWCA, Jewish Family Service delivered a 10-session series of best practice educational programs at 3 area schools.- 150 youth and their parents/guardians benefited from the mentoring and family support offered by the Bigs & Littles program. | Description |
