| Description | The certification board of infection control and epidemiology, inc. (CBIC) offers voluntary periodic certification exams for all infection control professionals meeting educational and practice requirements. The purpose of the certification process is to protect the public by providing a standardized measurement of current basic knowledge needed for persons practicing infection control, to encourage individual growth and study, thereby promoting professionalism among infection control professionals who fulfill the requirements for certification. CBIC's certification program is accredited by the national commission for certifying agencies. CBIC administered approximately 1,120 exams during 2011. | Description |
