PROGRAM SERVICE STATEMENT	FORM 990, PART III, LINE 4A, PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS:	ACADEMICALLY, DUGSI ACADEMY MADE SAFE HARBOR IN READING. STUDENTS CONTINUE TO BE PLACED IN LEVELED CLASSES BASED ON THEIR READING AND MATH ABILITIES. STUDENTS WERE PLACED IN GRADE LEVEL CLASSES FOR SCIENCE, SOCIAL STUDIES AND WORLD LANGUAGE. DUGSI ACADEMY CONTINUED TO UTILIZE RESPONSIVE CLASSROOM TO HELP THE STUDENTS WITH SELF-DISCIPLINE AND RESPONSIBILITY. DURING THE 2010-11 SCHOOL YEAR, ADDITIONAL ASSESSMENTS WERE ADDED TO HELP TRACK STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT: RTI ASSESSMENTS (EVERY QUARTER), KINDERGARTEN READING (DIBELS) AND MATH ASSESSMENTS (NORTH DAKOTA STANDARDS ASSESSMENT TEST). EFFORTS WERE MADE TO INCREASE ON-TASK STUDENT BEHAVIOR AND SOCIAL SKILLS GROUPS WERE STARTED BY THE SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS TO HELP STUDENTS DEAL WITH THEIR ANGER. THE INITIAL TEACHING ALPHABET PROGRAM WAS ADDED TO HELP THE NEW-TO-COUNTRY STUDENTS LEARN TO READ. IN FEBRUARY, THE NEW-TO-COUNTRY STUDENTS WERE PULLED OUT MORE FREQUENTLY FOR REMEDIAL SUPPORT. THE SCHOOL PROVIDED EXTRA TEACHER SUPPORT BEYOND THE COACHING TO HELP STRUGGLING TEACHERS IN THE AREAS OF DISCIPLINE. ELL CONSULTANTS WERE HIRED TO HELP ALL TEACHERS TO UNDERSTAND ACADEMIC ENGLISH.
