| Description | Instruction - The College is built on the belief that academic disciplines in the liberal arts can be taught within the context of the Christian faith in order to provide young people with a high quality education which emphasizes what matters most: principles, ideals, ethics, morals, and values. With an enrollment of 751 current students, Truett-McConnell College has increased its enrollment by 62% since 2008. Also,over the past two years, the school has obtained a faculty of which more than 70 percent hold doctorates in their respective fields. The College offers twenty four-year programs of study in majors in business, humanities, Christian studies, education, history, music, and interdisciplinary studies.Truett Online, a program that offers students the opportunity to earn a degree completely online, began in the spring of 2009 and now offers students the opportunity to earn a degree in business or Christian studies. Truett Online has specifically reached out to bi-vocational pastors, as well as laity, to offer an opportunity for them to continue their education.Truett-McConnell College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. | Description |

| Description of Uncertain Tax Positions Under FIN 48: | Part X: | The College is recognized as an organization exempt from Federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code whereby only unrelated business income, as defined by Section 512(a)(1) of the Code, is subject to Federal income tax. The College's policy is to record a liability for any tax position taken that is beneficial to the College, including any related interest and penalties, when it is more likely than not the position taken by management with respect to a transaction or class of transactions will be overturned by a taxing authority upon examination. Management believes there are no such positions as of June 30, 2011 and 2010, accordingly, no liability has been accrued. Generally the IRS may examine a tax return for three years from the date it is filed. At June 30, 2011, tax years ended June 30, 2008, 2009 and 2010 remained open for possible examination by the IRS. |
