CALIFORNIA SOLAR INITIATIVE IS A TEN-YEAR, $2.167 BILLION PROGRAM WITH THE GOAL TO INSTALL 1,940 MW OF SOLAR GENERATION CAPACITY IN CALIFORNIA. THE PROGRAM INCLUDES SOLAR WATER HEATING AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING SUB-PROGRAMS. SINCE ITS LAUNCH IN 2007, CCSE HAS FACILITATED MORE THAN 94 MW OF RESIDENTIAL AND NONRESIDENTIAL SOLAR. CALIFORNIA'S SELF GENERATION INCENTIVE PROGRAM IS PART OF THE LARGEST AND LONGEST RUNNING COMBINED HEAT AND POWER PROGRAM IN THE NATION. SINCE 2001, CCSE HAS PROVIDED INCENTIVES THROUGH THIS PROGRAM FOR MORE THAN 32 MW OF INSTALLED CAPACITY.
