Of the 100 apartments, 30 are licensed for Level A assisted living services. The assisted living occupancy was 87% for the fiscal year. | Description | Care Team Ministry - Mission - "A neighbor's independence depends on you - no one should feel alone." The program was started January 2003 on funding from Robert Wood Johnson as a national initiative with the intent that these programs after startup would become self-sufficient. Many across the country did not survive because of lack of funding. Ours has survived because it is felt that CTM provides an important service to the community. Funding comes donations and from Immanuel Lutheran Communities. There are no program services revenue generated. The program is a coalition of church and support service agencies collaborating with the healthcare community. Volunteer teams meet short-term, non-medical needs of seniors who desire to remain in their homes, thus enhancing quality of life. Non-medical needs may include: tranportation to doctor appointments, grocery shopping, minor household chores, phone calls, general outings and companionship. Immanuel Lutheran Commnunites provides supervision, training and support for the congregational teams. The Care Team Ministry program has about 200 volunteers and serve about 200 individuals annually. | Description |

Miss Stromset requested that income received on the principle invested be used for education and training of staff employed at Immanel. In keeping with her wishes, ILC developed the following guidlines for the use of these funds: be an employee of Immanuel Lutheran, have an acceptable work record as documented by supervisor, have worked for ILC six months with a minimum of 720 hours in one year, be accepted for study in an accredited program, provide documentation of successful completion of course work to continue funding. Preference is given to those applicants whose degree or goal will allow them to fill a position at Immanuel Lutheran for which there is an anticipated shortage or need.
