| Description | Friends of Freedom held the first annual Patriot Day Celebration on 9-9-11 and 9-10-11, the 10th Anniversary of the day that changed America. This was the largest gathering in the southwest and garnered a remarkable amount of attention to our first year programs. It launched FOF into the forefront as a team that can deliver on programs and services as a facilitator to support the men and women who serve the country. While not a financial success in its first year, it did accomplish many things. Results of the event included almost 7,000 patrons in attendance dozens of corporate sponsors and individual donors totalling over 100,000 in contributions the successful landing of a BlackHawk, an Apache Longbow, a Cobra, and a V-22 Osprey the dramatic entrance, twice, of the Black Daggers Spec Op Parachute Team 3 National Recording musical acts including Tony Orlando and Joe Nichols Senator John McCain, Congressman Ben Quayle, Governor Jan Brewer, Attorney General Tom Horne and 3 City Council members joining us in honoring the military CONTINUED ON SCHED O | Description |
