| Explanation | Tax Position: Accounting Standards for Income Taxes provide detailed guidance for the financial statement recognition, measurement and disclosure of uncertain tax positions recognized in an organization's financial statements. The Organization adopted the provisions of this standard on July 1, 2009. The implementation of this standard did not have any impact on the financial position or net assets of the Organization. The primary tax positions made by the Organization are the existence of Unrelated Business Income Tax and the Organization's status as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Organization currently evaluates all tax positions, and makes a determination regarding the likelihood of those positions being upheld under review. For the years presented, the Organization has not recognized any tax benefits or loss contingencies for uncertain tax positions based on this evaluation. All tax periods prior to FY 2006 are no longer subject to examination by tax authorities. | Explanation |
