Explanation	Effective July 1, 2009, the Organization adopted FASB ASC 740, "Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes." ASC 740 clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in income taxes recognized in an enterprise's financial statements in accordance with FASB Statement No. 109, "Accounting for Income Taxes," and prescribes a recognition and measurement of a tax position taken or expected to be taken in a tax return. In accordance with ASC 740, the Organization recognizes the impact of tax positions in the financial statements if that position is more likely than not of being sustained on audit, based on the technical merits of the position. The Organization has determined that the adoption of ASC 740 did not result in the recognition of any liability for unrecognized tax benefits.	Explanation

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 4	Effective November 3, 2009 the board amended the organization's bylaws by unanimous written consent. The significant amendments to the bylaws include the following: 1) Reducing the number of board officers of the organization from six to five through the elimination of the officer position of second vice chair. 2) Consolidating the second vice chair's limited responsibilities with those held by the board's vice chair of finance. 3) Reducing by one the number of executive committee positions automatically set aside for board officers, affording the nominating subcommittee additional discretion to recommend new member for executive committee service in future years.

After their review, the ceo reviews and approves the form. Once an approval is given, it's then forwarded to the finance subcommittee chairperson for review and approval. Once the approval is given, the 990 is then made available to the board prior to submission.
