| Description Program Service Accom | Runfit launched in 2009 with one location serving 120 kids. In just one year, the program has seen tremendous growth. Today, Runfit impacts more than 2,200 kids, from 23 schools, in at-risk communities throughout New Mexico. Runfit has offered many disadvantage youth the chance to participate in running and racing events they would otherwise not have access to. Parents have also come out to assist and have now become involved as volunteers. There is no cost associated with our program, however, children must belong to either a school, home school or an after school running program. Our program has reached beyond the track to helping to support the Albuquerque Roadrunner Food Pantry Program serving food to 100 families within the community and the Albuquerque Title I Homeless Project..
