| Description | THE VALLEY HOPE ASSOCIATION (VHA) IS A NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED, NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO PROVIDING QUALITY ALCOHOL AND DRUG ADDICTION TREATMENT SERVICES AT AN AFFORDABLE PRICE. VHA OPERATES NINE RESIDENTIAL FACILITIES AND 9 FREE STANDING OUTPATIENT OFFICES IN SEVEN STATES - AZ, CO, KS, MO, NE, OK, AND TX. SINCE OPENING ITS DOORS IN 1967, VHA HAS TOUCHED THE LIVES OF MORE THAN 270,000 INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILY MEMBERS.VHA OFFERS A COMPLETE RANGE OF PROVEN TREATMENT SERVICES TAILORED TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE PATIENT. THE BASIS OF OUR PROGRAM IS INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT AND VARIABLE LENGTHS OF STAY. VALLEY HOPE OFFERS A FULL CONTINUUM OF SERVICES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO, MEDICALLY MONITORED DETOXIFICATION, RESIDENTIAL, PARTIAL HOSPITAL OR DAY TREATMENT, INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT, RELAPSE PREVENTION AND CONTINUING CARE. OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE A QUALITY CONTINUUM OF COMPREHENSIVE TREATMENT AND RELATED SERVICES, IN A CARING ATMOSPHERE AND AT A REASONABLE PRICE, FOR ALL PEOPLE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH ALCOHOL OR DRUG USE REGARDLESS OF THEIR ABILITY TO PAY.DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010, VHA PROVIDED 128,157 PATIENT DAYS WITH 352 AS THE AVERAGE DAILY CENSUS. THE AVERAGE LENGTH OF STAY WAS 19.31 DAYS. IN ADDITION, VHA PROVIDED 93,182 PRIMARY OUTPATIENT THERAPY HOURS.AT VALLEY HOPE, WE BELIEVE ADDICTION TO ALCOHOL OR SOME OTHER DRUG IS BOTH A PRIMARY AND FAMILY DISEASE. VIRTUALLY ALL MEMBERS/SIGNIFICANT OTHERS ARE AFFECTED BY LIVING WITH ALCOHOL AND DRUG ABUSE. THAT'S WHY WE BELIEVE FAMILY THERAPY IS AN ESSENTIAL ELEMENT OF TREATMENT FOR ALL PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM THE DISEASE. LAST YEAR, VALLEY HOPE PROVIDED 8,156 PATIENT DAYS FOR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS.WE ALSO KNOW CONTINUING CARE IS CRUCIAL TO RECOVERY WHICH IS WHY VALLEY HOPE PROVIDES ONE FREE YEAR OF CONTINUING CARE FOR EACH PATIENT TREATED AT OUR RESIDENTIAL CENTERS. THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 POSTED 44,058 CONTINUING CARE VISITS.WHILE THE ABOVE MENTIONED SERVICES ARE BASED AT OUR TREATMENT FACILITIES, VALLEY HOPE ALSO SUPPORTS PUBLIC EDUCATION ON THE DISEASE OF CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY. FACILITY STAFF REGULARLY CONDUCT EDUCATIONAL IN-SERVICES AND TRAININGS AT THE LOCAL LEVEL - ATTENDING SCHOOLS, BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONAL MEETINGS FREE OF CHARGE. | Description |
