| Nehemiah Ministries seeks to mentor and train groups who have a vision to help at-risk communities. A staff person and volunteers share a program model which serves children and adults using strategies that are simple, practical, and cost-effective. The model rests on three main components: Academic Enrichment, Spiritual Enrichment and Family Services. The program has been instrumental in helping many children and youth succeed academically, while simultaneously stabilizing the child's home environment. | Holy Ground is where discipleship begins. Men and women who are homeless or in crisis are invited to this place of refuge to get closer to Jesus Christ. | Shepherd's Center offers referrals to over 200 other assistance ministries in the Houston area, as well as limited financial assistance for rent, utilities, transportation, and other needs.
