| Description | Research & Strategic Initiatives NCLR's Workforce Development programs prepare workers for lifelong economic and career advancement. The NCLR Career Pathways Initiative targets low-skilled and limited-English-proficient adults in the green, health care, and customer service sectors, and the NCLR Escalera Program: Taking Steps to Success targets at-risk and disconnected youth. Together, NCLR and its Affiliates serve as the link between Latino youth and workers and the workforce development systems, education institutions, and businesses in their communities.The NCLR Lideres Initiative is a national program created to increase opportunities for Latino Youth that will maximize their influence as leaders in the United States. Lideres supports hundreds of local and community-based programs, as well as campus-based student organizations, that build the skills of Latino youth and increase their leadership capacity. The 7,000 member Lideres Network operates at a national level to link student groups and youth programs in 39 states. Currently, our network serves more than 600 groups by providing them with a wealth of information, resources, and networking opportunities.The Affiliate Member Services component collaborates with NCLRs program and policy staff to facilitate relationships between NCLR and its Affiliates by supporting and complementing their on-the-ground efforts to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans. | Description |

| Part X: | Description of Uncertain Tax Positions Under FIN 48: | NCLR adopted ASC 740-10, Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes, on October 1, 2009. Under ASC 740-10, an organization must recognize the tax benefit associated with tax positions taken for tax return purposes when it is more-likely than not that the position will be sustained. The implementation of ASC 740-10 had not impact on NCLRs consolidated financial statements. NCLR does not believe there are any material uncertain tax positions an accordingly, will not recognize any liability for unrecognized tax benefits. NCLR has filed for a received income tax exemptions in the jurisdictions where it is required to do so. Additionally, NCLR has filed Internal Revenue Form 990 tax returns as required and all applicable returns in those jurisdictions where it is required. NCLR believes that it is no long subject to U.S. federal, state and local, or non-U.S. income tax examinations by tax authorities for years before 2007. However, NCLR is still open to examinations by tax authorities from fiscal year 2007 forward. No interest or penalties were accrued as of October 1, 2009 as a result of the adoption of ASC 740-10. For the year ended September 30, 2010, there were no interest or penalties recorded in the consolidated statements of activities. |
