The earnings from the investment of the endowed funds provide student scholarships, laboratory and equipment, and endowed chairs and professorships.	Description of Intended Use of Endowment Funds:

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15	Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology's board of Trustees Compensation Committee annually performs a review of executive compensation for the President and the President's Cabinet. The review is designed to follow industry best practices and to comply with the IRS intermediate sanctions provision. In performing their annual review, the Committee reviews information from the Presidential performance review, compensation surveys, compensation at comparable organizations, and independent, third party reviews when deemed appropriate. The Committee makes compensation recommendations for the President for approval by the full Board of Trustees and approve the President's recommendations for his Cabinet.
