NEW PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMS FOCUSED ON ENDANGERED SPECIES CONSERVATION WERE FORMED, INCLUDING IN INDIA, GUATEMALA, COLOMBIA, AND OTHER AREAS. SOME OF THESE PROJECTS ARE AS FOLLOWS: A. COLOMBIA - PROGRAM IN COLOMBIA TO IDENTIFY LOST SPECIES AS PART OF THE "LOST SPECIES OF COLOMBIA" PROGRAM WITH SUPPORT FROM THE US FISH & WILDLIFE SERVICE AND IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PROAVES, CONSERVATION INTERNATIONAL AND THE IUCN/SSC AMPHIBIAN SPECIALIST GROUP. B. GUATEMALA - THE SIERRA CARAL, CUCHUMATANES MOUNTAINS, AND DRY FOREST OF MAGDELENA VALLEY. MANY OF GUATEMALA'S ENDANGERED SPECIES ARE FOUND AT A SINGLE, UNPROTECTED, SITES. GWC IS WORKING WITH FUNDAECO TO EXPAND EXPLORATION IN THESE AREAS IN 2010 AND 2011. C. INDIA - THE WESTERN GHATS - THIS AREA IS AMOUNG THE WORLD'S TOP BIODIVERSITY HOTSPOTS.
