Part X, Line 2:The Organization consists of not-for-profit entities as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Code, and is exempt from federal income taxes on related income pursuant to Section 501(a) of the Code. The Organization believes that it has appropriate support for the income tax positions taken and to be taken, and that its accruals for tax liabilities are adequate for all open tax years based on an assessment of many factors including experience and interpretations of tax laws applied to the facts of each matter. Management evaluated the Organization's tax positions and concluded the Organization has maintained its tax-exempt status, does not have any significant unrelated business income, has taken no significant uncertain tax positions that require disclosure in the accompanying consolidated financial statements and has no material liability for unrecognized tax benefits.

Form And Line ReferenceForm 990, Schedule G, Part III, Gaming Dislcosures:FormAndLineReferenceDesc
ExplanationThe Organization engaged Granite State Poker Alliance LLC to provide gaming and casino services on behalf of the Organization and as a third party, independent contractor. As part of this relationship and transaction, the Organization registered for and secured the appropriate licenses to conduct gaming activities with the New Hampshire Lottery Commission. Granite State Poker Alliance LLC was contracted by the Organization to host, operate, and run gaming and casino events on behalf of the Organization during the fiscal year. The Organization did not pay any fees, leases, or rents to the Granite State Poker Alliance to make use of their facilities, equipment, and staffing resources, and was not involved with the running of the games; the Granite State Poker Alliance collected all gaming revenues, kept the books and records for the charitable gaming days, and remitted the portion due to the Organization in accordance with NH Lottery regulations regarding charitable gaming activities. The organization received $151,851 in gaming revenue from the Granite State Poker Alliance. The Organization's nominal filing and administrative costs of $50 were the only "gaming expenses" related to these arrangements. Additionally, the Organization received a relatively nominal amount of gaming income from charity raffles held as part of its fundraising events. These raffles - as are all books, records, and financial reports of the Organization - were ultimately subject to the review and oversight of the Organization's CFO and finance committee. Revenues raised from fundraising events and charitable raffles are too immaterial to warrant a dedicated staff member, to allocate any employee or operational costs to the running of these games, or to designate specific volunteers. Accordingly, the active CFO of the Organization has been named on this Form 990, Schedule G, Part III, Line 14, and charity raffle income was included within total gaming receipts reported on Form 990, Schedule G, Part III, Line 1 and on the associated Form 990, Part VIII, Line 9a.ExplanationTxt

Form And Line ReferenceFormAndLineReferenceDescExplanationExplanationTxt
Schedule K, Parts III:During its fiscal year ending 2018, the Organization purchased a building secured by a combination of tax-exempt financing and a commercial loan. The property is occupied both by the organization and also several for-profit entities that were tenants prior to the Organization purchasing the property. The tax-exempt bond component of the acquisition financing relates only to the space occupied by the Organization. The commercial loan is allocated to the space operated by for-profit, unaffiliated entities. The Organization's bond counsel is aware of this arrangement and closely monitors the situation so that the Organization can avoid any private business use concerns.
