| Explanation | UN NUEVO DESPERTAR A NEW AWAKENING NFP respectfully requests abatement of any penalties related to the late filing of the 2023 Form 990. The return was delayed because we needed additional time to review, reconcile, and correct the accounting records to make sure the filing was accurate, including the proper classification of loan activity and year-end balances. Once the issue was identified, we corrected the records and completed the return. Moving forward, we have put steps in place to better track filing deadlines, review the financials timely, and file extensions when needed.
