| Desc | Pre-Apprenticeship Program: Ensure that untapped young adults ages 16-24 enrolled in our program receive the necessary support to pursue tech opportunities. We provide the necessary hardware, coding, and critical skills for young adults from underserved communities to prepare themselves to pursue careers and jobs that are available. We connect participants to apprenticeships, internships, job shadowing opportunities, mentors, and scholarships to pursue careers in tech. The program is 12 weeks long, and at the completion of the program, each participant receives a $500 educational stipend, a MacBook computer, and a Certificate of Completion from Dev/Mission and the DAS. Each participant in the Dev/Mission program is paired with a tech mentor who will work with him/her for 6 months, meeting once per month to identify career advancement opportunities and provide personal advice on how to pursue a career in the tech industry. Each participant is eligible to become part of our very own employment pathways, where they can earn up to $20.00 as interns.
